The Tower Grove area is really two distinct neighborhoods - Tower Grove East and Tower Grove South.  The Tower Grove East area is east of Grand Avenue and is adjacent to the Compton neighborhood.  Tower Grove South is on the south side of Tower Grove Park and on the west side of Grand Avenue. 

Considerable rehabbing is going on in both neighborhoods.  Tower Grove east is being influenced by the strong neighborhood environment in Compton where average home sales has risen dramatically in the last three years.  These homes tend to be somewhat smaller than what you would find in the Shaw neighborhood.  But, generally, these homes tend to be a step below the prices of Shaw.  Based upon the number of homes that are in the process of being rehabbed or have recently been completed, the complexion of the neighborhood should be dramatically changing. 

Tower Grove South is a great neighborhood being so close to the ambiance of the grand shopping and dining area.  The area is rich with beautiful homes that have been rehabbed and offers a neighborhood flavor that is very family orientated. With not only the Grand area but also the Tower Grove park within walking distance, Tower Grove South goes from Arsenal on the north to Chippewa on the south.
